tanushri podder garu,

True it is to be experienced to be believed. Yesterday I received a newsletter from UNICEF according to which all the children of a village in Mizoram were for the first time totally immunized thanks to my contribution. In that case my bit was only Rs 1000 but u can't imagine the satisfaction that I got. I'm posting another cheque for 1K today again.

Dear Rama Rao,

I read your article & sure it is interesting, thought-provoking and will induce people to think and act as you have told; if your article  induced some people to 'give gifts' , your purpose is well-served.

The spirit of 'giving' is not generally inherited by many; may be in their fag end of life they think and do something.  Not only in 'giving', one can help others in multifarious ways.

An adage says, "small, small drops of water ultimately lead to flooding....".  Whatever one according to his/her  capacity does, it is great, and it is to be appreciated.

There are lot in our daily lives we see.....who are poor and lead a dismal life......a small present will definitely make them happy......and that is sure.

As Indu told one can enjoy giving within one's capacity.  We come across in our daily life....people like postman, barber, dhobi, busdrivers, conductors, helpers in schools, paperboys,  and the list is incomplete....it varies from person to person......one will definitely become happy to give presents at the appropriate seasons.  They should not hesitate on any account.

money has three destinations.. to give it in help or charuiy, to enjoy or to get destroyed if you do  not help others as charity or enjoy then it gets destroyed......

DEV= the one who gives ..unselfishly.without any expectataions with a large heart..DANAV the one who is lazy in creating wealth or securing knowledge and then he takes it from others usurps ,with greed or becomes angry when he does not get it and is jealous within for all..GIVE materially or knowledge to thoise who need them most whatever you can practically..help them get more if you alone cannot fulfil all..Swaha--give always..take least..any favours..that was what Shankara highlighted from sanatan Dharma useful to all humanity..

Rama Raoji : Agree with you about giving, I remember once temple in gujarat where God's statue had 3 watches - all name brands donated by devotees. Does God really do not know what time it is....these watches would have been put to good use in the hands of poor students but I guess its important to bribe God I guess.
