Another wonderful read and very true...

"... even in interpersonal relationships there is a great pleasure in giving pleasure to the other party including one’s life partner. Giving is always a “win win” situation. Just do it."

Shri Ramarao Garu,

I am very happy to read this article as suggested by you. It is wonderful and  your  help to the needy  is commendable. As stated by you we should  do all such charitable acts not for  publicity but for  our own satisfaction.. the  internal satisfaction  gives immense  pleasure......

thanks for sharing....

shuvashree garu,

We r on the same wave length. When we give some gift to our loved ones we do purely out of love. But when we give such expensive gifts(1.5 crores) to God we do not show our love to God. We show complete disdain for the plight of poor and needy. I would even go to the extent of calling it mental bankruptcy and sheer lack of commonsense.
But such are the ways of the mortals.

Rama Roa ji,
This is such a beautiful, inspirational and motivational write up on "Giving".  I carry away two learnings 1) Give for your own pleasure and satisfaction. 2) Don't waste your giving on those that do not really need it. But again sometimes the two get linked like, when you give your SIL's gifts that they may not really need or require but it is the show of your love that they get from receiving even if not much materialistic value.
When one gives such an expensive necklace to god, neither does he need it nor does he honestly feel your love through it.  It somehow exhibits a lack of love for God somehow according to me to waste so much.

In acknowledgement of a gift

Don’t condescend to give something in return

And demean the giver.
